SANTA CLARA, Calif. – The Fresno Pacific men's water polo team wrapped up the Julian Fraser Memorial Tournament on Sunday with two matches against ranked opponents. FPU fell to #13 Harvard 11-4 and #20 Wagner 9-8 at Sullivan Aquatics Center.

HOW IT HAPPENED:
• FPU's
Taylor Heckathorn scored the opening goal of the game against Harvard, but the Crimson immediately responded with nine unanswered goals. FPU then added three second half goals before the final whistle blew.
• In the afternoon match, the 'Birds battled back from an early deficit to take an 8-7 lead into the final frame. Wagner escaped with the win, however, after holding FPU scoreless in the fourth quarter and finding the back of the cage twice.

Uros Pelemis led the Sunbirds with two goals against Harvard. Heckathorn and
Paul Siebenaler added one goal apiece.

Lazar Raca recorded a hat trick in the setback to Wagner.Â

BEYOND THE BOX:
• The Sunbirds closed out the tourney with a 3-1 record, with the win coming in the opening game against St. Francis Brooklyn.
