FRESNO, Calif. – The Fresno Pacific men's water polo team was halted by #15 California Baptist on Thursday, as the Sunbirds fell to 15-8 in Western Water Polo Association (WWPA) action at Sunnyside Aquatics Center.

HOW IT HAPPENED:
• The Sunbirds couldn't overcome a slow start, as CBU grabbed a 7-1 lead as halftime approached.
• FPU then poured in seven second-half goals, but it wasn't enough as the Lancers escaped Fresno with the win.
STATS OF THE GAME:

Jacob Fairchild led the Sunbirds with a hat trick, while
Paul Siebenaler added two goals and an assist.
Taylor Heckathorn,
Lazar Raca and
Richard Szepesi rounded out the scoring with a goal apiece. Szepesi also added three assists for the Sunbirds.
• FPU finished the night 2-of-9 on power play opportunities, while CBU was 2-of-2.
• CBU received three goals apiece from Logan Mena and Dominick Nevarez.

• The Sunbirds have fallen to CBU in the last five meetings between the two teams.
