FRESNO, Calif. – The Fresno Pacific volleyball team is back home and opens a seven-game homestand on Friday against Point Loma. The Sunbirds then host Azusa Pacific on Saturday for First Responders Day.

• Fresno Pacific currently sits at 5-16 overall and 4-8 in league play. The Sunbirds are coming off a 3-1 win at Notre Dame de Namur on Saturday. Carley Bock powered the 'Birds to the win as the senior put down 21 kills on .341 hitting. She also added 14 digs and three aces.
• Bock currently leads the team in kills per set (3.20), which ranks fourth in the PacWest. 
• As a team, the Sunbirds currently rank second in the PacWest in digs per set (16.52), while the offense sits in seventh in kills per set (11.75).

• The Sea Lions rank fourth in the league in kills per set (12.74) and seventh in digs per set (15.42). Rachael Schlect leads the team with a 3.44 kills per set average, which ranks second in the conference. Cara Keturakis dishes out a league-best 9.49 assists per set.

• The Sunbirds led the all-time series 67-18. FPU dropped the last meeting with the Sea Lions 3-2 in San Diego on Oct. 6.
 
ABOUT THE COUGARS
• Azusa Pacific currently sits tied atop the conference standings at 12-2 in league play and holds a 16-6 overall record. The Cougars most recently fell at PLNU on Tuesday 3-1.
• APU ranks first in the conference in attack percentage (.268) and second in kills per set (13.51). The defense is a key for the Cougars, especially at the net where APU leads the PacWest in blocks per set (2.29). Julianne Miller is the leader, as the junior is averaging 2.68 kills (.428) and 1.05 blocks per set.
