IRVINE, Calif. – The Fresno Pacific men's basketball team couldn't overcome a sluggish start to the second half on Friday night, as the Sunbirds fell in PacWest play to Concordia 89-67.

HOW IT HAPPENED:
• The Sunbirds looked good early, as
Sam Burt scored eight quick points to give FPU an 11-5 lead in the opening four minutes.
• CUI climbed back into the game throughout the first half to lead 43-33 at the intermission.
• The Eagles then opened the second half on a 10-0 run to put the game out of reach.
STATS OF THE GAME:

Aamondae Coleman led the Sunbirds for the second game in a row offensively, as the freshman scored 19 points (7-13 FG) to go along with five rebounds and two assists.
•
Sam Holmes,
Tyler Harris and Burt each added 10 points apiece for FPU.
• The Sunbirds shot 45 percent from the floor, but CUI countered at 54 percent overall and drained nine threes.
• Brian Chambers led Concordia with 21 points, while JT Roach added 20 points, four rebounds and six assists.
BEYOND THE BOX:
• The Sunbirds hit a trio of threes on Friday, which marked the lowest total of the season.
• Coleman played a season high in minutes in the loss. He has now scored in double-digits in five games this year.
