FRESNO, Calif. – Fresno Pacific returns to PacWest action on the mainland after a quick two-game trip to Hawaii last week. The 'Birds head up North to face Academy of Art and Notre Dame de Namur this weekend.

ABOUT THE SUNBIRDS
• FPU currently sits at 3-9 overall and 2-2 in league play. The Sunbirds closed the trip in Hawaii with an impressive 3-1 victory over Hawai'i Hilo.
• The 'Birds have now won two of their last four games and are right in the thick of things in the PacWest standings.

• Academy of Art enters Friday's matchup at 3-8 overall and 0-4 in league play. ART U most recently defeated UC Santa Cruz in non-conference action on Wednesday, 3-1. 
• The Urban Knights are struggling offensively, but are sixth in the league in blocks per set at 1.93. Bailey Soolsma leads the team with a 3.38 kills per set average, while Margaret Winkler sports a team-best 1.09 blocks per set average.

• The Sunbirds hold a perfect 10-0 all-time mark against the Urban Knights. FPU defeated ART U twice last season by scores of 3-1. 
 
ABOUT THE ARGONAUTS
• Notre Dame de Namur currently sits at 8-5 overall and 3-2 in league play. The Argonauts went 1-1 last week and most recently defeated Holy Names 3-1.
• NDNU ranks third in the league hitting percentage at .217 and is fifth in the PacWest in digs per set at 16.48. Bianca Alvarez leads the conference in kills per set at 4.66. The mark is also fourth in Division II.
