Game Recap: Women's Basketball |

FPU Soars Past Hawks to Earn First League Victory

OAKLAND, Calif. – The Fresno Pacific women's basketball team picked up its first PacWest Conference win of the year on Saturday, defeating Holy Names 65-42 on the road. The win allows the Sunbirds to salvage a split for the road trip, improving to 1-1 in league action.

QUOTABLE:
• "We are happy with a win but not thrilled with our performance. Having multiple people out with sickness and injury is all the more reason to stay engaged the whole game. We had some very good and engaged defensive possessions, but we faltered on many offensive possessions when we didn't make the easy reads. We have zero days off and will look to have a great practice tomorrow before Monday's game against Antelope Valley." – head coach Tim Beauregard
