FRESNO, Calif. – The Fresno Pacific men's basketball team had its two-game winning streak snapped on Monday night, as the Sunbirds fell to Holy Names 76-63 in PacWest play.

HOW IT HAPPENED:
• FPU looked strong early and jumped out to a 23-12 lead in the opening seven minutes of the game.
• Holy Names responded, however, with a 22-7 run to finish the half to lead 34-30 at the break.
• The Sunbirds cut the deficit to three on two occasions in the second half, the latest with 8:29 to play, but couldn't close the gap the rest of the way as the Hawks escaped with the road win.
STATS OF THE GAME:

Sam Burt led the Sunbirds with 20 points and seven rebounds, while
Adrian Antunez added 15 points on 7-of-9 shooting.
•
Toby Christensen added nine points, seven rebounds and five assists for FPU.
• The Sunbirds were held to 44 percent shooting on the night and were out-rebounded 40-29.
• Holy Names received 22 points and eight rebounds from Jewels Sanders.
BEYOND THE BOX:
• Burt picked up his second-straight game of scoring at least 20 points. He has reached 20 points on four occasions this season.
• Antunez has scored in double-digits in four straight games.
• The Sunbirds were without second-leading scorer
