IRVINE, Calif. – The Fresno Pacific volleyball team wrapped up the 2017 season on Saturday, as the Sunbirds were swept by Concordia in PacWest play. Set scores were 25-12, 25-23 and 25-11 in favor of the Eagles.

HOW IT HAPPENED:
• After dropping the opening set, the Sunbirds were in position to even the match in the second frame. With the score 21-21, CUI rattled off three straight points to take control and earn the set win to jump ahead 2-0 in the match.
• FPU then struggled in the third frame and was held to a negative hitting percentage to drop the set.
STATS OF THE GAME:

Malerie Crenshaw and
Carley Bock led FPU with six kills apiece, while
Caroline Bodziak added five and
Kylei Dewar totaled four.

Greta Dobenecker dished out a game-high 23 assists and totaled six digs for the Sunbirds.
• Rachel Flynn put down a game-high 11 kills for CUI.
• The Eagles out-blocked the Sunbirds 9-3 on the night.
BEYOND THE BOX:
• FPU graduates Crenshaw,
Karah Mitchell and
Gabriela Macedo, but returns nine players next season.
