LA JOLLA, Calif. – The Fresno Pacific men's water polo team fell in the Western Water Polo Association (WWPA) consolation bracket to Concordia, 13-9, on Saturday at Canyonview Aquatic Center.

HOW IT HAPPENED:
• The Sunbirds had a strong opening quarter and led 4-3 after the first period. The Eagles responded in the second, however, with three goals to enter halftime up 6-5.
• FPU was then outscored 7-4 the rest of the way to fall to CUI.
STATS OF THE GAME:

Erik Brown led the Sunbirds with a hat trick and four steals, while
Lazar Raca added two goals and an assist.

Paul Siebenaler,
Garrett Pickford,
Richard Szepesi and
Kyle Eoff rounded out the scoring with one goal apiece for FPU.
Joseph Costa headed the defense with nine saves in the cage.
• Each team finished 4-of-11 on man-up opportunities.
• Angel Rojas proved to be the difference maker, as the Eagle scored six times.

• Brown's three goals were a season best for the senior.
