SENIOR DAY
• The Sunbirds will honor Karah Mitchell, Malerie Crenshaw and Gabriela Macedo prior to the match.

 
ABOUT THE SUNBIRDS
• FPU currently sits at 9-14 overall and 7-7 in league play. The Sunbirds will look to snap a three-game skid on Friday, as FPU most recently fell to Dixie State (3-2) and Azusa Pacific (3-1) last week.
• The Sunbirds, who sport a 6-3 record at home, sit in eighth in the league standings with three weeks to play.
• FPU sports one of the best defenses in the league and sits behind only Notre Dame de Namur in digs per set as a team. The Sunbirds scoop up 16.97 digs per set, while the offense is seventh in the league in kills pet set at 12.40.

ABOUT THE URBAN KNIGHTS
• Academy of Art enters Friday's matchup at 5-16 overall and 2-12 in league play. ART U most recently fell to Dominican in straight sets last Saturday.
• The Urban Knights rank towards the bottom half of the league in numerous statistics, but lead the conference in service aces per set at 1.78. Bailey Soolsma leads the team with a 3.12 kills per set average, while Ashley Pawlak has a team-best 33 service aces.
 
SERIES HISTORY
• The Sunbirds hold a perfect 11-0 all-time mark against the Urban Knights. FPU defeated ART U in five sets on Sept. 29 in San Francisco. Macedo had a massive night for the Sunbirds with a double-double of 17 kills (.342) and 15 digs, while Dobenecker also added a double-double of 25 assists and 14 digs in the win.
