FRESNO, Calif. – The Fresno Pacific volleyball team wraps up its seven-game homestand this week with two matches. FPU hosts Notre Dame de Namur on Thursday and #6 California Baptist on Saturday.

ABOUT THE SUNBIRDS
• FPU currently sits at 8-11 overall and 6-4 in league play. The Sunbirds most recently went 2-1 last week, which featured 3-2 wins over Hawai'i Hilo and Hawai'i Pacific and a 3-1 setback to Point Loma.
• The 'Birds have now won six of their last eight games and are right in the thick of things in the PacWest standings. FPU is tied with Dixie State in the league standings in fourth.
• FPU sports one of the best defenses in the league and sits behind only Notre Dame de Namur in digs per set as a team. The Sunbirds scoop up 16.75 digs per set.

• NDNU leads the league in digs per set at 17.80 and sits in third in attack percentage at .212. Bianca Alvarez leads the attack and currently sits in fifth in Division II in kills per set (5.01). Taylor Garcia heads the defense with a 4.40 digs per set average.
 
SERIES HISTORY
• The Sunbirds hold a 19-4 all-time mark against the Argonauts. NDNU defeated the Sunbirds on Sept. 30 in Belmont behind 28 kills from Alvarez.
 
ABOUT THE LANCERS
• California Baptist stands at a perfect 18-0 overall and 10-0 in league play. The Lancers, who are currently ranked sixth in the nation, most recently defeated Azusa Pacific 3-0 last Saturday.
• CBU leads the league in hitting percentage (.293), assists per set (13.89), total kills (14.98) and blocks per set (2.59). Sydney Kralj facilitates the offense and leads the PacWest in assists per set (11.64), while Lauren Hackett leads the team in kills per set (3.93).

• FPU holds an 58-22 all-time advantage over CBU. The Lancers have won the last five meetings, the latest a 3-2 victory in Fresno on Oct. 1, 2016.
