Montana Lowe put down 17 kills and
Chelsea Speaks added 17 digs as Fresno Pacific defeated Notre Dame de Namur in five sets on Senior Day. Set scores were 23-25, 23-25, 25-16, 25-22 and 15-10 at the Special Events Center.

Saturday marked the season finale for the Sunbirds, who finish the season at 11-13 overall and 9-11 in the PacWest. NDNU closes out the 2016 campaign 10-18 overall and 8-12 in league play.

The Sunbirds dropped the opening two sets before storming back to win three consecutive frames to earn the match victory. The Sunbirds hit .326 in set three and used a 7-1 run in the middle of the frame to cut the match deficit to 2-1. FPU carried the momentum into the final two sets, eventually ending the decisive fifth set on a 5-1 run behind three kills from
Jasmine Phoolka.

FPU finished the night hitting .250 as a team, its third highest output of the year, and amassed a season-best 95 digs as a team.

Karah Mitchell led the offense with 23 kills on .321 hitting and added 10 digs for her 14th double-double of the season. Phoolka added 18 kills, while
Hailey Hilvers recorded 10 kills and four blocks. Lowe's 17 kills (.412) were a career high, while DenHartog's 64 assists matched her career best and put her over the 1,000 mark on the season. DenHartog also chipped in with 18 digs defensively for her 14th double-double of the year.
Gabriela Macedo finished with 15 digs and
Sierra LeBeau added 11 scoops.

The Argonauts received a match-high 32 kills from Bianca Alvarez, while Magaret Billingsley (Lemoore HS) added 55 assists.

The Sunbirds graduate DenHartog, Speaks and Lowe this season, but will return a core group behind Mitchell, Bock and Hilvers.
