"I'm very proud of how our guys played this weekend," said head coach
Bryan Suhovy. "They fought hard showing confidence and determination. It was a great weekend showing the growth we have made.
Ian Roos and
Greg Bracamonte played great, establishing themselves early in the game, forcing teams to drop. This allowed our shooters to shine today. Our power play percentage today was the best it's been all season and that was a game-changer for us. All in all it was a great weekend and I'm proud of how hard they worked."
David Maes had six goals in the first game to lead the team, while
Daniel Seymour added three in game two.
The Sunbirds get a chance to play in front of their home crowd next Saturday, hosting Delta College at 1 pm.
