Fresno Pacific lost to #14 Cal Baptist 14-7 on Thursday night in Riverside. It was the Sunbirds' third loss to the Lancers this season.

FPU fell behind 9-0 and was unable to overcome the slow start. Riley Warner had 15 saves in goal for the Sunbirds and Krisztian Kovacs led the team with two goals. CBU improved to 10-1 with the win, while FPU dropped to 1-8.

On Friday, as part of the Lancer Invitational hosted by CBU, the Sunbirds will face the number one team in the nation: the defending national champion USC Trojans. In the afternoon, FPU will take on Cal Lutheran at 4:20 pm, a team the Sunbirds defeated 18-17 in double overtime last week.
