Fresno Pacific struggled against Cal Baptist on Thursday night, losing 17-5 at the Clovis West Aquatic Complex.
Missed opportunities plagued the Sunbirds as two missed five-meters, several unsuccessful counters, and a low man-up percentage hurt the FPU's offensive effort.
FPU scored one goal in each quarter except for the fourth, where Lyon scored twice.
"The opportunities were there, we just didn't put the ball in the back of the cage," said senior Raymond Eggert. "We've definitely improved since the beginning of the season, though. I don't think the score reflected how well we played."
Fresno Pacific (7-17) takes on Fresno State on November 3 at 7:30 pm at Sunnyside High School.
