Fresno Pacific cruised past Delta College 23-10 on Wednesday and has now won three of its last four games.
Glenn Lyon led the offensive effort with seven goals. Evan Baird added four more while Trevor Kolb and Ian Roos each put in three. Jake Finney had eight saves in goal.
Delta College was able to keep it close in the first quarter as the Sunbirds went up 4-2. Fresno Pacific opened up its lead in the second, however, outscoring Delta 6-3 to take a 10-5 lead. Riley Warner scored a full-court shot at the buzzer to end the half.
The Sunbirds dominated the second half, scoring seven goals in the third quarter and six in the fourth to close out a 23-10 victory.
"We're finally playing our game," said Lyon. "Everything we've been working on is starting to show."
Fresno Pacific (6-13) travels to Huntington Beach this weekend to play in the Concordia Invitational. Its first match will be against Concordia on Saturday at 11:40 am.
