Fresno Pacific, ranked No. 1 in the NAIA, begins Golden State Athletic
Conference action this weekend in Southern California.

The Sunbirds take on San Diego Christian in El Cajon at 7 p.m. Friday,
then face No. 7-ranked Point Loma Nazarane at 3 p.m. Saturday.

Defending NAIA champion Fresno Pacific is 10-0 this season and Pt. Loma
is 9-0. The Sunbirds captured all first place votes in the NAIA poll
released Tuesday.

The Sunbirds have been led in the early season by Mississippi State
transfer Martina Gregusova, who was MVP of the recent Fresno Pacific
Invitational. Defensive specialist Tiffany Marinos also was named to
that All-Tournament team.
