FPU Track

The complex includes nine collegiate-width lanes, two long/triple jump pits, two discus rings, three shot put rings, surfaced “D” on each end of the track for high jump and pole vault, and a state-of-the-art hammer cage. The facility includes seating for more than 1,000 spectators and is fully lighted with both practice and competition-level lights. A high-level message center scoreboard that can synchronize with a computer-timing system is also part of the complex. Significant events held at the facility include the 2006 and 2007 NAIA Men’s & Women’s Track & Field National Championships, several GSAC Championship meets, the 2014 Men’s and Women’s Track & Field PacWest Conference Championship and numerous dual and invitational meets. Because the facility is regarded as the best in the area, several national and world-class athletes have trained there.
