Robinson spent one season with the Sunbirds going 8-7-2. He led the team to a 6th-place finish in PacWest play after being picked to finish 9th in the preseason poll, and four of his players made All-PacWest teams.
Robinson joined the Sunbird staff in March of 2022. Before accepting the role at FPU, Robinson had been an assistant at Azusa Pacific. Primarily, he helped with goalkeeper training that led to a 2019 PacWest Goalkeeper of the Year Award. During that season, the Cougars averaged .79 goals against per game. Robinson also coordinated recruiting efforts, organized camps, and assisted in team fundraising efforts.
Robinson spent his college career playing for Greenville College, where he was the first goalkeeper to lead the team to the NCAA National Tournament. As team captain, he helped guide the team to a record-tying win total for a single season, and he also received a handful of awards.
Robinson earned his bachelor’s degree from Greenville College in Accounting. On the field, he led the team to the NCCAA national tournament in 2007 and 2009. Robinson was a key piece of the University's first-ever NCAA National Tournament appearance in 2008.
Robinson started coaching as a graduate assistant at Belhaven University in 2012. He helped coach the team to the NAIA National Championship. In 2013, Robinson aided the team in getting back to the national tournament, as they reached the elite 8.
