Curtis, an All-PacWest thrower for the Sunbirds as a junior, was in the middle of a strong senior season at the time of the NCAA's suspension of spring sports. Her distance of 45'9" in the weight throw cracked into FPU's top ten on the all-time leaderboard, and she had turned in a pair of top-two finishes in the shot put in FPU's only two outdoor meets.
