Kooijinga took first place in the 50 free last Saturday against Cal State East Bay with a time of 24.56, marking one of FPU's two individual victories. Additionally, Kooijinga teamed up with Shelbi Hayzlett, Olga Tovstogan and Ioanna Palla to give the Sunbirds a win in the 400 medley relay, as the group turned in a time 4:01.60.
