Prior to FPU - Spent two years at Chaffey College under head coach Jeff Klein....part of the 2013 state runner-up team....also made an appearance in the 2014 Final Four state tournament....competed for one season at Western New Mexico University under head coach Jeff Law....graduated from Alta Loma High School, where he played for two years on the varsity basketball team under head coach Brian Brown....named Team Captain and received the Coaches' Award....also earned the scholar academic award.

Personal - Son of John and Susan Shea....has one brother named Patrick....chose Fresno Pacific because he wanted to play for coach Kisner....people he most admires are his parents....enjoys eating steak....likes to pray as a pregame ritual....roots for the LA Dodgers....favorite athlete is Shaq....hobbies include working out, playing baseball and swimming....attends Water of Life church....Tyler is a sociology major with plans of becoming a probation officer.
