Career Cross Country Results
As a Freshman (2018) – clocked a career best 23:56.10 in the 6k at the UCR 38th Annual Cross Country Invitational….scored for the Sunbirds at the PacWest Championships (48th, 24:31.60, 6k)….ran well at the NCAA Division II West Region Championship, scoring for FPU with a time of 24:16.94 (3.74 Mile)....named Academic All-PacWest.
Prior to FPU - Prepped at Madera Sough High School and spent three seasons on the varsity cross country and track and field team.
Personal - Daughter of Rosa Ramirez and Jorge Ortega....has two siblings named Luis and Jorge Luis....person she most admires is her mom....enjoys eating Panda Express....favorite TV program is The Ellen Show....Veronica is a kinesiology major with plans to become an athletic trainer for runners.
