Jessica Torrecillas joins the Sunbirds' coaching staff after completing an outstanding four-year career with the women's basketball team.

A two-time NAIA All-American and three-time All-GSAC selection, Torrecillas finished her career with exactly 1,500 points to put her second all-time at FPU. Her 671 career rebounds are sixth all-time, her 81% shooting from the free-throw line is third and her 52.1% shooting from the field ranks sixth.

She scored in double figures 78 times for the Sunbirds and recorded 19 double-doubles. Her 35 points vs. San Diego Christian in 2010 was the third most ever scored by a Sunbird player.

Torrecillas was also a two-time NAIA Scholar Athlete and helped the women's basketball program earn the prestigious NAIA Scholar Team award in 2010-11.

A native of San Jose, Torrecillas graduated from Archbishop Mitty High School where she helped lead the team to a state championship as a senior.

As a coach, Torrecillas has worked numerous NBC basketball camps in California, Alaska, Montana and Colorado.

Torrecillas graduated from Fresno Pacific in 2011 with a degree in Psychology.
