Prior to FPU- Ran on the varsity squad at Tulare Union High School for two years for coach Juan Alvarado....Was honored with the coaches award as a senior....Also competed in track and ran the 800 meters in 2:19....Also played three years of volleyball and one year of soccer.
Personal- Born April 30, 1992....Parents are Isidro and Cleo....Has a sister Veronica and two brothers, Caleb and David....Came to FPU because of the Christian atmosphere....Person she most admires is her dad....Favorite TV show is Monk....Favorite musician is Nicole C. Mullen....Favorite team is the Dallas Cowboys and favorite athlete is Cowboys tight end Jason Witten....Person she would most like to meet is Condoleezza Rice....Home church is Tulare First Assembly of God....Vanessa is a Pre-Health major with plans of becoming a dentist.
