As a Junior - competed at the Pomona-Pitzer Invitational, where she recorded a season personal best in the 5k.
Sunbird Notes - Also a member of the women's cross country team.
Prior to FPU - Ran for two years at Clovis North High School including one on varsity for coach Jason Lienau....was part of a league championship team that finished as Valley runner-ups and fifth in the state.
Personal - Daughter of John and Ninon Rij....has three siblings: Ryan, Ethan and McKenna....person she most admires is Lauren Saylor....enjoys eating pasta....favorite TV show is House of Cards....favorite book is Once a Runner....friend on another college team is Madi Hiatt of Cal Baptist....enjoys listening to Katy Perry and Of Monsters & Men....favorite sports team is the Seattle Seahawks....favorite athletes are Shalane Flanagan and Lauren Fleshman....attends Northeast Assembly of God....people she'd most like to meet are Mary Cain and Jordan Hesay....hobbies include reading and running....Kelsey is a biology major.
