Prior to FPU - Spent one season at Modesto Junior College under coach Demetrius Snaer, competing in the 100, 200 and 400....attended Golden Valley High School, spending four years on the varsity team....a three-time league champion in the 200 and 400....was team MVP and won the Iron Cougar Award....also played football and earned first-team all-league honors as a runningback....also competed in wrestling and was league champion.
