2019 Cross Country - earned Academic All-PacWest Honors … awarded the Birdie for Team of the Year
Prior to FPU - Prepped at Bullard High School under head coaches Dan Macnamara and Fabian Barrett....spent four years on the cross country team and three seasons on the track and field team....named the Most Outstanding Runner, earned the Coaches Award and was tabbed the top senior for the track team....also was a member of the badminton team for the Knights....graduated as the class valedictorian.
Personal - Daughter of Minerva and Oscar Mancilla....has three siblings named Arturo, Alex and Mary....people she most admires are her parents....favorite food is a burrito from Don Pepe's....enjoys watching the TV show Grey's Anatomy....listens to Russ....favorite athlete is Allyson Felix....Araceli is a kinesiology major with an emphasis in physical education with plans to become a PE teacher and cross country coach at Baird Middle School.
