Biography
As a Freshman (2013-14) – Swam individual medley and breaststroke events for the Sunbirds…Had a season best performance in the 100 butterfly (54.24) against California Baptist…Swam in-season best times at the Collegiate Winter Invitational in the 100 breaststroke (56.41), 200 breaststroke (2:03.23) and 200 IM (1:56.04)…Competed in three individual events at the PCSC Championships…Won the 200 breaststroke (1:59.38), a new school record…Finished second 100 breaststroke (55.37), the second fastest time in school history…Placed fourth in the 200 IM (1:53.47).
Prior to FPU- Swam for head coach Niko Martikainen at Kungsholmens Gymnasium Club....Placed third at Swedish Junior Nationals in 200yd breaststroke and fourth in 100yd breaststroke.
Personal- Born August 5, 1993...Parents are Jukka and Christina Ridell....Has one sister Jessica Ridell....Favorite food is Japanese food....Favorite athlete is Japanese gold medal swimmer Kosuke Kitajima....Favorite TV show is "Suits"....Patric is a business major.
