Prior to FPU - Matt is a graduate of Vista Murrieta High School...He swam for four years under coach Keith Good...He was named All League and was team captain and also recieved the 'CLASS' award.
Personal - Matt was born in Torrance, CA but calls Murrieta, CA his home...His nickname is "Gilby"...He is the son of Jim and Lori Gilbert....he has one sister named Kelsie...His hobbies include playing the guitar, eating and going to concerts....the person he admires the most is his dad....his favorite movie is "Star Wars"....the person he would most like to meet is 'Han Solo'....his favorite athlete is Kobe Bryant and his favorite team is the LA Lakers....his home church is Calvary Chapel in Murrieta...Matt is a Business Finance major with plans to become a financial analyst.
