Personal - Jared was born in Hayward, CA but calls Clovis, CA his home... He is the son of Dan and Diane Gilbert...He has one sister...His home church is The Well Community Church...Jared is a Business major ...He hopes to manage a sports team someday.

Prior to FPU - Jared is a graduate of Clovis High School...His swim coach was Peter Tragitt...He was an All-American and school record holder. 

As a sophomore (2008) - Jared was part of the 2008 men's team that took Runner-Up at the NAIA Swimming and Diving Championship... At Nationals, he swam the anchor leg of the 800 Yard Freestyle Relay which won 2nd place, posted the 3rd fastest time in the 200 Yard Freestyle final, and swam the anchor leg of the 400 Yard Medley Relay which took 3rd...He was also the lead swimmer on the team which won the 400 Freestyle Relay at Nationals...He totaled 168 points in both team and individual events at the National Championship.
