Biography
As a Junior (2015) - Academic All-PacWest....was an important contributor on the Sunbird team that finished fourth in the PacWest....posted a season-best time of 25:20.8 in the Santa Clara Invitational (10/17)....turned in a quality performance in the PacWest Championship with a 25th place finish and a time of 25:59.45 (10/24).
As a Sophomore (2014) - had another great season with the Sunbirds during his second year at FPU....ran well in the PacWest Championships, finishing 23rd overall with a season-best time of 26:27.05....propelled the team to a first-place finish in the Sonoma State Invitational with a fourth-place overall finish (26:42.27).
As a Freshman (2013) - proved his value as a consistent, top-5 team finisher during his first season with the Sunbirds....ran a season best 26:22.0 in the Santa Clara Invitational (10/19)....posted a time of 26:47.55 in the Mustang Challenge, good for second on the team (9/21).
Prior to FPU - Spent three years on the varsity cross country/track & field teams at Clovis North High School under coach Jason Lienan....was awarded CN's Bronco Award as a senior....top times included 4:29 in the mile and 9:41 in the two mile.
Personal - Born July 5, 1995....son of Ricardo and Sandra Jazo....has two brothers, Raul and Samuel.
