Biography
As a Junior - was a key contributor on the FPU team that finished 4th in the PacWest (tying FPU’s highest ever finish since joining the PacWest)….opened the season at the Lancer Invitational, where he was FPU’s top finisher and took 3rd overall with a time of 19:09 on the 6k course….competed in the 2016 PacWest Championships, completing the 8k “Jungle Trail” with a time of 30:25.21….turned in a solid performance at the NCAA West Regionals, where he ran the 10k course in 33:53.83.
As a Sophomore (2015) - Academic All-PacWest....turned in another quality season for the Sunbirds, who finished fourth in the PacWest (the highest finish for FPU since they joined the conference)....was the top finisher for FPU in the PacWest Championships, turning in a 9th-place overall finish with a season-best time of 25:21.38 (10/24).
As a Freshman (2014) - PacWest Freshman of the Week (9/20)....had an excellent first season with the Sunbirds, highlighted by a 25:55 performance in the first race of the season (9/11)....propelled the team to a first-place finish in the Sonoma State Invitational with a second-place overall finish and a time of 26:24.33 (10/4)....named Fresno Pacific's Freshman of the Year after the season.
Prior to FPU - Spent four years on the varsity team at Clovis North High School under coach Jason Lienau....earned numerous accolades in both cross country and track as one of the top runners in the Valley....was the TRAC cross country champion as a senior....qualified for the state championship all four years....won the North Area 3200 championship as a senior, finished second in the Valley and qualified for the state meet....three-time most valuable runner at Clovis North and team captain as a junior and senior....top times included 4:16 (1600), 9:19 (3200) and 15:16 (5K at Woodward Park)....was a four-year scholar athlete.
Personal - Son of Eddie Nolen and Stephanie Todd....has three younger brothers named Cameron, Chase and Brody....chose FPU for the Christian environment, proximity to home and opportunity to grow athletically and academically....favorite sports team is the Minnesota Vikings....attends West Coast Believers Center....Connor is a kinesiology major with plans of going into teaching and coaching.
