Prior to FPU - Spent two seasons at Reedley College under head coach T.J. Jennings....averaged 11 points per game to go with 7.4 rebounds, all while shooting a 44 percent clip from the field....prepped at Washington Union High School under head coach Tony Petersen, where he averaged 18.5 points and 11.5 rebounds per game....named City County, first-team All-Fresno Bee, League Player of the Year, Defensive Player of the Year and team MVP....also played football in high school.

Personal - Son of Saneatra Hollingsworth and Derrick Major....has one brother named Rodney Pool Jr....favorite food is chicken and shrimp Alfredo....enjoys watching the TV series Power....prays as a pregame ritual....roots for the Oakland Raiders and the Los Angeles Lakers....favorite athletes are Marshawn Lynch and Kobe Bryant....enjoys bowling as a hobby....Shak is a criminal justice major with plans to become a juvenile counselor.
