Biography
Personal - Cheyenne was born in Clovis, CA but calls Prather, CA her home...She is the daughter of Brad and Kelli Coffman...She has three sisters and a brother...Her favorite food is sushi...Her favorite book is "Julie and Julia"...She likes all types of music...Her hobbies include running, reading, camping, surfing and hiking...Cheyenne is a Pre-Occupational Therapy major...She wants to get a masters and maybe a doctorate in therapy...She also wants to make it to the Olympics.
Prior to FPU - Cheyenne is a graduate of Sierra High School ...She swam for four years under coach Frank Koop...She was a four-time MVP in swimming...She was named a Fresno Bee All-Star in her senior year...She holds records in the 100 free, 100 back and 50 free...Cheyenne also competed in basketball, volleyball and water polo.
As a sophomore (2008) - Cheyenne was part of the 2008 women's team that took 4th place at the NAIA Swimming and Diving Championship...At Nationals, she totaled 214.5 points in individual and team events...Cheyenne and her teammates finished 2nd in the 200 Yard Medley Relay, 2nd in the 200 Yard Freestyle Relay, and 3rd in the 400 Yard Freestyle Relay...She also was a two-time National Champion, winning both the 100 Yard Backstroke with an NAIA record time and the 50 Yard Freestyle...Cheyenne was named First Team All-American.
As a junior: Cheyenne was a part of the 2010 women’s team that took second place at the NAIA Swimming and Diving Championship…At Nationals, she totaled 260 points in individual and team events…Cheyenne was a eight-time national champion, individually winning the 50 freestyle, 100 backstroke, and 100 freestyle all in NAIA record times. Along with her teammates, she also won the 200 medley, 800 freestyle, 200 freestyle, 400 medley, and 400 freestyle relays…Cheyenne earned FPU’s award for Most Valuable Swimmer.
