Biography
Personal - Stacy was born in Kansas City, KS but calls Merced, CA her home...Her parents are Donald and Barbara Carter...She has two brothers and a sister...Her favorite foods are sushi, cheesecake, and her mom's fettuccine alfredo and strawberry pie...Her favorite book is "Blue Like Jazz"...Her favorite movies include "The Little Mermaid" and "The Breakfast Club"...She plays the ukulele...Her home church is St. Patrick’s Parish...Stacy is a Biology major.
Prior to FPU - Stacy is a graduate of Golden Valley High School...She swam for four years under coach Betsy Bell...She was named MVP all four years...She was class valedictorian.
As a freshman (2008) - Stacy was part of the 2008 women's team that took 4th place at the NAIA Swimming and Diving Championship...At Nationals, she totaled 215 points in individual and team events...Stacy and her teammates finished 2nd in the 200 Yard Medley Relay, 2nd in the 200 Yard Freestyle Relay, and 3rd in the 400 Yard Freestyle Relay...She also was a two-time National Champion, winning both the 200 and 400 Yard Individual Medleys...Stacy was named First Team All-American...She also earned FPU's award for Freshman Athlete of the Year.
As a sophomore: Stacy was a part of the 2010 women’s team that took second place at the NAIA Swimming and Diving Championship…At Nationals, she totaled 235 points in individual and team events…Stacy was a six-time national champion, individually winning the 200 Individual Medley and, along with her teammates, winning the 200 medley, 800 freestyle, 200 freestyle, 400 medley, and 400 freestyle relays…Stacy also finished fourth in the 100 freestyle.
