As a Sophomore (2018) – had a breakout sophomore campaign for the Blue and Orange, recording career bests in the 3000m (11:18.83), 2 Mile (11:56.67), 5000m (19:02.45) and 10,000m (41:31.40)….season highlight occurred when she shaved 20 seconds off of her previous PR to clock a new career best in the 10,000m at the PacWest Championships.

As a Freshman (2017) - ran well at the Bulldog Invitational, logging a season-best time of 11:38.06 in the 3000m….at the San Francisco State Distance Carnival, finished 15th in the two mile with a time of 12:30.04.

Sunbird Notes - Also a member of the women's cross country team.

Prior to FPU - Spent four seasons on the varsity cross country and track & field team at Dinuba High School under head coach Lucas Lichtenwaldt....four-time team MVP....All Tulare County team pick (2015)....three-time All-CSL first-team honoree....best performance came in the CIF Central Section championships, where she placed fourth....also competed on the track and field team, of which she was a four-time MVP....participated in other high school extracurricular activities, including Key club, Ignite club, Accept club and CSF....four-time Scholar Athlete honoree.

Personal - Daughter of Ignacio Vidrios and Maria Gallegos....has four siblings: Jazmin, Marco, Luis and Ashley....person she most admires is her mother....loves to eat corn....favorite book is Dear John....likes to watch Pretty Little Liars...her good friend Adrian Solis is on the track & field and cross country team at COS....hobbies include eating, listening to music and socializing....Karina is a pre-med major who hopes to become a nurse practitioner.
