Biography
Prior to FPU - Spent four years on the varsity team at Madera South High School under coach Richard Parris....was a part of four league championship teams....two-time team MVP....2013 Champion For Life athlete of the year....was section runner-up in Division II as a senior....won the Iron Athlete award, Coach's award, scholar athlete award and class athlete award....posted a 4.0 all four years and garnered numerous academic awards....top cross country times included 18:39 at Woodward Park and 18:21 overall.
Personal - Born August 17, 1994....parents are Maria Rivera and Jaime Rivera....favorite food is enchiladas....favorite show is Master Chef....favorite books are The Gatekeepers and The Overachievers....friends on other college teams include Nathan Esparza (Fresno State) and Sofia Rios (UC Merced)....favorite musical artist is Kelly Clarkson....attends St. Joachism Church in Madera....hobbies include running, scrapbooking and movies....Cristal is a business administration major.
