FULL RESULTS

IRVINE, Calif.-It was a fifth place for the Fresno Pacific Sunbirds Men's Cross Country team Saturday morning in a race at Great Park. 

Jansen Gillig had a lifetime best day, running 25:07 and earning Third Team PacWest honors with a 21st place finish. 

Freshman Devin Ibarra and Alesandro Escarzaga came in next finishing 26th and 33rd respectively with Escarzaga running a lifetime best time of 25:39. 

Rodney Chemalmal finished just behind Escarzaga coming in 34th, with Evan Torres following at 37th, Daniel Galvez in 42nd, and Abelsom Teffra and Monte Moore finishing 44th and 45th respectively. 

"Our men have battled injuries and challenges all season and our freshmen have really had to step up to fill the gaps" said head coach Ray Winter. "A fifth place finish today is not what we wanted, but they all ran bravely and gave it what they had."

The Sunbirds will look to build on this performance as they head to Billings, Montana for the NCAA West Regionals Saturday November 9th.
