HONOLULU – Fresno Pacific's sluggish second half led to a 94-84 defeat on the road at Chaminade in PacWest action Thursday night at McCabe Gym.
Madison Higgins delivered 23 points for FPU, but the Silverswords netted 51 second-half points to snap their four-game losing streak.

"We played extremely hard tonight," said head coach
Shane Rinner. "Our offensive effort was good enough to win, we executed and shot the ball very well. We did not defend or rebound at the level needed to win a road game, however. We'll look to put together both sides of the ball on Saturday to close out the trip."
FPU opened the game hot from the field and led by as many as ten in the first half. A Higgins trey made the score 33-23 with 7:56 to go in the opening period before Chaminade chipped away at the lead in the final minutes of the half. The Sunbirds held a 48-43 advantage at the intermission.
CUH came out strong offensively in the second half and eventually took its first lead of the game 53-52 at the 16:08 mark. As each team exchanged baskets to move the score to 67-64 in favor of the Silverswords, a 16-2 run the next four minutes by CUH put the game out of reach for FPU.

Trevon Clayton added 17 points (7-10 FG), nine rebounds and six assists and
Bobby Barnes scored 13 points (6-10 FG).
Jeff Amazan and
Gabe Solarin were the final two players in double figures with 11 points apiece.
