In three seasons with the Sunbirds she has posted an overall record of 26-60.
Scholz, a former NCAA All-American at the University of Colorado, served as the Assistant Coach at NCAA Division I Utah State for three years before coming to FPU.

Her success as a player helped fuel Colorado to three conference tournament titles and four NCAA Tournament appearances, including two trips to the Sweet Sixteen and a run all the way to the Elite Eight on the 1994-95 team that finished 30-3.
Scholz went on to play professionally with the Colorado Chill of the National Women's Basketball League (NWBL), helping the Chill win two NWBL ProCup Championships in 2005 and 2006. She then went to Australia where she helped lead the Lakeside Lightning of the Western Australia State Basketball League to the SBL Championship.
Scholz’s resume also includes honors such as Colorado Sportswoman-of-the-Year for high school basketball (1993) and two-time Colorado high school player of the year (1992-93). She was recently inducted into the Colorado Springs Sports Hall of Fame (2008). In addition, Scholz was a part of USA Basketball for four years representing the United States internationally as a member of the USA Select Team (1996) coached by current Uconn coach Geno Auriemma, and the 1995 USA Jones Cup team that captured the bronze medal.
