Personal - Tenisha was born in Visalia, CA but calls Fresno her home...She is the daughter of Jim and Stacey Burr...She has a younger brother...Her favorite foods include cheesecake, cheese burgers, onion rings and strawberry ice cream...Her favorite movies include "Pride and Prejudice" and "A Walk to Remember"...She enjoys singing, shopping, and spending time with family and friends...Her home church is Northside Christian Church...She is a Dean's Scholar at FPU...Tenisha is an English major...Her career goal is to become a high school English teacher or counselor.

Prior to FPU - Tenisha is a graduate of Central West High School...She swam for three years under coach Rick Klatt...She competed in the CIF Championships...She was a California Scholarship Federation member, All-American Scholar, and class valedictorian.

As a freshman (2008) - Tenisha was part of the 2008 women's team that took 4th place at the NAIA Swimming and Diving Championship.
