Former Sunbird student-athlete Rebeca Bribiesca Spears joined the joined the FPU Swimming & Diving coaching staff in 2022.

Originally from Mexico City, Bribiesca Spears began her undergraduate studies in New York before transferring to FPU for her final three years of eligibility.  She earned her bachelor’s degree in Kinesiology with an emphasis in Exercise Science from FPU, and is currently pursuing her master’s degree in Applied Physiology and Kinesiology at the University of Florida.

During the summers, she also coaches at Clovis Swim Club.

Outside of coaching, she loves swimming, running, and watching her favorite shows like New Girl, Grey’s Anatomy, and Modern Family.  She especially enjoys spending quality time with her husband and their dog, Monza.
