Personal - Josh was born in Los Angeles, CA and calls Victorville, CA his home...He is the son of Jack and Debra Evans...He has two sisters, Camisha and Courtnee...His favorite athlete is Kobe Bryant...His favorite TV show is "Family Guy"...His favorite movie is "Hitch"...His hobbies include ultimate frisbee, ping pong and playing the guitar...Josh is a Multimedia Productions major...He hopes to work in a TV studio someday.
Prior to FPU - Joshua is a graduate of Sultana High School in Hesperia, CA...He ran cross country under Coach John Mahr...He was a two-year letterman in cross country and track...He was named Athlete of the Year in his senior year.
As a freshman (2006) - Josh ran in his first season for the Sunbirds...He posted a season-best time at the Regional Championships, running 8,000 meters in 27:48...Josh placed 53rd overall at the Regionals and finished in 5th place for the Sunbirds.
As a sophomore (2007) - Josh again ran his best time of the season at the Regional Championships...He ran a time of 27:10 on the 8,000 meter course...Josh finished that race in 42nd place overall and 5th for the Sunbirds.
As a junior (2008) - Josh ran his best time of the season at the UC Riverside Invitational...He posted a time of 27:05 at that race and helped push the team to a 5th place finish out of 25 teams in a large field...Josh and his teammates qualified for the National Championships in which he finished 169th out of 331 runners...He helped his team finish 23rd out of 32 teams at Nationals.
