Personal - Cesar was born in Mexico, but calls Fresno his home...He is the son of Jesus and Catalina Rodriguez...He has three sisters and one brother...His home church is St. Agnes...Cesar is a Business Administration major...His career goal is to become an accountant.
Prior to FPU - Cesar is a graduate of Clovis West High School...His coach was Barbara Bethel...He ran cross country and track all four years...He was a two-time MVP in cross country...He was also a Principal's Medallion winner...Cesar transfered to FPU from Fresno City College, where he ran cross country and track for two years under Coach Gary Bluth...He was named All-State and All-American in cross country and track.
As a junior (2008) - Cesar was the 3rd fastest runner on a very strong Sunbird team...He posted a season best at the GSAC Championships with a time of 25:47...Cesar helped lead his team to a 2nd place finish at the GSAC Championships...At the NAIA National Championships, he placed 82nd overall in a field of 331 runners...Cesar was a key part to the Sunbirds' good showing at Nationals.
