Biography

As a Redshirt Sophomore (2013)- Appeared in 11 matches, including three starts for the PacWest and NCCAA West Region Champion Sunbirds....scored his lone goal of the season in a 2-1 win over Hawaii Hilo.

As a Redshirt Freshman (2012) - Played in six matches for the NCCAA West Region Champion Sunbirds.... batlled injuries on and off throughout the season.

As a Freshman (2011) - Redshirt season....made local headlines in the offseason when he and teammate Eric Velarde rescued an elderly couple from a burning building.

Prior to FPU- Played four years of varsity soccer at Sunnyside High School for coach Mike Sosa.…helped his team win two NYL Championships…..earned Rookie of the Year honors….also played water polo and tennis.

Personal- Son of Maribel and Angel….has four siblings….is  a relative of former FPU player Edgardo Contreras....favorite sports team is Real Madrid….person he would most like to meet is Sergio Ramos….Eddie is a Criminal Justice major with hopes of one day playing professional soccer.
