Biography
As a Junior (2015-16) - Academic All-PacWest....appeared in 22 games, making 20 starts for the Sunbirds….facilitated the Sunbird offense from the point and also proved to be a key contributor on the defensive end, posting a team-best 2.1 assists per game (47 total) and team second-best 30 steals….also recorded 105 points and 42 rebounds on the season….scored a season high 12 points to go with an assist and a steal vs. Chaminade (1/16)….scored 11 points, dished out two assists and grabbed two rebounds vs. Hawaii Hilo (2/4)….racked up five steals and six points in the win over Concordia (2/6)….tallied five assists, four rebounds and two steals in the win vs. Chico State (12/08).
As a Sophomore (2014-15) - Played in all 25 games, making 15 starts for the Sunbirds....averaged 2.4 points and 2.3 rebounds per game....scored season-high seven points in win over Dixie State (2/21)....dished out five assists vs. BYU-Hawaii (1/22).
As a Freshman (2013-14) - Appeared in five games off the bench for the Sunbirds....connected on her only three-point attempt of the season in win over Notre Dame de Namur (2/5).
Prior to FPU- Played four years of varsity basketball at Kings Christian for head coach Justin Lott....Named First-Team All-League her junior and senior seasons....All-Bee Honorable Mention her senior season....Named to both North vs. South and City vs. County All-Star Games....Three-time team MVP....Captain three seasons at Kings Christian.
Personal- Born January 4, 1995...Parents are Daniel and Jamie Salas....Has three siblings Ashley, Alyssa and D....Person she most admires is her father....Favorite TV show is "Cupcake Wars"...Favorite athlete is Candace Parker....Abrina is a kinesiology major and plans to become a physical therapist for a professional sports team.
