As a Sophomore (2017) - Women’s Field Athlete of the Week (3/8)….at the PacWest Championships, placed third in the 4x100 relay with a time of 47.12, good for a new school record….also took fourth in the triple jump at 11.39m….at the Bulldog Invitational, impressed in the triple jump with a personal-record of 11.67m, seventh all-time at FPU….improved her distance in the long jump with a mark of 5.06m while competing at the Pomona-Pitzer Invitational.

As a Freshman (2016) - Academic All-PacWest....took second in the triple jump at the FPU Sunbird Invitational (4/2) with a mark of 34-08.25.

Prior to FPU - Spent four seasons on the varsity team at Clovis North High School under head coach Richard Brazil....received several awards, including two Coaches Awards, two Most Valuable Field Athlete awards and two Bronco Scholar awards....named a team captain....four-time Valley Championship qualifier....personal best in the triple jump is 37'7''....competed in the Junior Olympics four summers in a row....also played soccer for the Broncos.

Personal - Daughter of Jerry and Robin Cassinerio....has three brothers: Dominic, Ricardo, and Luis....chose FPU because she wanted to continue her education and athletic career in a spiritually uplifting environment....person she admires most is her mom....enjoys eating sushi....favorite movie is Dodgeball....roots for the Los Angeles Dodgers....attends Holy Spirit Catholic Church....Gianna is a liberal studies major.
